Hello, This release has one big change in it. Now a single binary is a demo, standard or pro release of PageStream based on the product key entered. You will no longer need to enter the registration number and activation key. Instead, you will now find a Product Key listed on your My Profile page on this web site. This Product Key is entered into the Personalize dialog box once, and it gives you access to either the Standard or Pro features. If the Product Key is not entered, you will have a limited feature demo that can not save or export your data and will only print one page at a time with a water mark. You will notice that this builds on the functionality implemented in the last release. For now, I will continue to release Pro, standard, and Demo files but they will actually all point to the same physical file for download. I am trying to determine if we have a stable, functional release for Linux and if you could take a moment and tell me of your problems or even better if all is well, I would appreciate it! Thanks! Deron -------- Recorded changes to 5.0.5.1 + Big change to the way PageStream is registered. Now, a single download starts out as a 14 day fully functional Pro demo. A product key can be grabbed from the My Profile page to register the program, and if the product key is correct it will activate the program as the Pro or Standard version as appropriate. If an upgrade is purchased from Standard to Pro, the new key can be entered in the About PageStream dialog. The old activation code is no longer used, as it is does not contain information like Pro or Standard, version, registration, etc. Now, the Product Key includes the registration number plus what versions it activates. The website will continue to show the old activation key because it will still be needed for prior releases of PageStream, obviously. + Added "Scale By View" to Preferences + Added [SCALEBYVIEW ON|OFF] to SETNUDGEDEFAULTS command to control the scaling of nudge coordinates by current view scale. + Fixed ADDREVISION to set current revision for subsequent GETREVISION etc calls. Recorded changes to 5.0.4.48 + Fixed printing of Type1 fonts to PostScript. It was breaking long lines with /n instead of \n. This still worked for many PostScript rasterizers, but evidently not all. + Pasteboard objects now display when viewing a master page. + When nudging objects, it will now nudge an amount scaled by the inverse of the current view. So if you zoom in on a section, nudge will move in a smaller amount. Your feedback is appreciated on this change. + Added [SCALE scale] parameter to NUDGE command. ** NUDGE [LEFT|RIGHT] [UP|DOWN] [TAP] [ALL|FRAMEONLY|CONTENTONLY] [5.0.4.48:SCALE scale] ** [DOCUMENT document | WINDOW document-window | OBJECTID objectid] + Added user pref item SAVEDOCUMENTSCRIPTPOST that is the script to be executed every time a document is saved. + Added parameter [SCRIPTPOST scriptname] to SAVEDOCUMENT. This <scriptname> is a script that will be executed and passed the filename as the first argument. "SAVEDOCUMENT" will be an additional argument to allow a single script to differentiate between a newly saved document and a newly saved PDF etc. + Added an additional argument "EXPORTPDF" to script arguments when executing SAVEASPDFSCRIPTPOST script. + Added 14 day evaluation for PageStream, then it reverts to limited Demo version when valid registration/activation not entered. + Fixed TextFX & Borders, plus Effects Solarize, Median, Average, Minimum, Maximum, Equalize, Hue/Saturation, Blur, Threshold, Histogram, Gamma, Convolve to work with new activation. + Fixed bug in EPS import module introduced in 5.0.4.47 when fixing code for Amiga. + IllustratorEPS: Added support to module for custom spot colors used by Freehand. + IllustratorEPS: Fixed import of fill/stroked objects from Freehand. + Added ability to stop Path->Union/Add/Exclusive/Subtract routines. + MAC: Figured out that progress dialogs can't be stopped. Fixed.

|---|
MD5 is a checksum algorithm commonly used to verify that a file download was successful. This works by computing an MD5 checksum on the downloaded file and comparing it with the MD5 checksum listed on the download page. If the checksums don't match, the file was corrupted during the download process. Linux and OS X provide commandline utilities for this purpose. For other platforms check Google. |
