Good news: since the update, the toolbar displays correctly in Pagestream. I have many other problems (floppy and usb) but PGS is now very nice.

Thanks

Same results here! PgsPro AmigaPPC now runs on my A1. GUI glitches
like a toolbar too narrow to drag and an inability to remember window
positions are still there. But until now, I couldn't do anything with
a PPC version.

I wonder what changed?

The FD0 a1floppy device works OK here with DOS formatted disks. My USB
stick also seems to be functioning OK, too. But I have yet to get
TruboPrint working again. And FinalWriter is now DOA, and completely
incompatible with the new memory system, according to others.

Yes, same thing here, as well. Final Update also seems to load and
run most programs including the native ones much more quickly.

I think it is clear. Its all Deron's fault! He has been liberally
dosing the PGS beta with Secret Final Update Sauce.

What a Christmas; working PGS PPC, new IBrowse, new DOpus and the
Final Update.

But, what do we get as a New Year's present. It's so unfair!

Happy New Year

Now the bad news: in PGS5 PPC if I select the menu layout/create text frames I get a freeze (no GR). I can still create new frames by hand...

The problem with the non-displaying fonts (those I created with Typesmith) is still there

Happy everything to everybody

Specifically, which version of PageStream?

With or without a Catweasel card?

Without. This is support for the on-board floppy controller. There is a
doc file on the CD and a support thread on
http://amigans.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=246&forum=3,
or you can contact me privately if you need help.

cheers

Don,

5.0.3.3 AmiPPC

Without. I have a Catweasel III in there, too, but it has it's own
floppy drive. This is a plain vanilla PC floppy wired to the
motherboard floppy port which is working as FD0.

sound to me like a broken mui installation with prerelease4.
i never had such problems. maybe also a complex mui bug which has been
fixed.

let's hope deron can do an update early 2007.

I think so, becouse under upd4 I lost also the "splash windows" of IBrowse and Yam, and now they are back. Some overlay problem in the previous mui...

Did someone try the menu layout/create text frames ? Is it a general problem or am I alone with it?

Hi Paul,

About finalwriter, check Amigaworld.
A couple of hacks have been released which seem to help.

Guess I spoke too soon in another message. Better hang onto the Catweasel III.
Smile

I conclude that your Catweasel III is also working under Update Final???

Many thanks and

Don't be too hasty. The on-board controller hardware can not read old-style
Amiga floppies. It supports standard PC formats using MS-DOS or FFS
file systems.

I don't have the newest driver from NutsAboutAmiga. So I can only say
that the Catweasel is working as well as it did a couple months ago,
i.e. it can read Amiga and DOS disks OK.
